Day of Beauty

The day of the wedding, my girls and I will be pampered by Cincinnati's best! Sam Hills of Cherry Bomb Salon will be doing my hair, plus my 4 bridesmaids. Mollie from Brideface will be doing all of our makeup as well. These are going to be part of my gifts for my girls!

I had my makeup trial with Mollie on 10/25 and I had a great time! I didn't take with me any pictures of what I wanted, but she got it right on! Below are pictures from the day of the makeup trial!

Below is the picture I grabbed out of a magazine that I loved of Faith Hills makeup.

Below are pictures from my trial with Sam Hills on December 3. Everything looks amazing!

The broach I am wearing was purchased from Courtenay Lambert. She has a large selection of beautiful broaches if you are searching!

Bridesmaids

Picture
All of my girls are OOT except my maid of honor, so her and I went to Bridal and Formal determined to find the dress! Personally, for the style of my wedding, I wanted my girls to wear the same dress.

My ladies will be wearing Jim Hjelm 5818 in the black and cashmere shown.

Picture
Here is my maid of honor Sarah in the dress! I love it. The girls all seem to love it, one of them is even planning on having it altered after to wedding so it is shorter, and she can wear it as a party dress!

Below is the back of the dress. In real life, it is not so low in the back.

Flower Girls!

Picture
I picked up two of these dresses right before Christmas last year at Target! They were $16 a piece! Can't beat that!

Plus, without even trying, they match the bridesmaid dresses perfectly!

Groom and Groomsmen

The guys are going to be wearing black tuxedos, and black skinny ties. Similar to below. All of the guys in the bridal party are musicians so they all are excited to wear something they think are cool. :) Anything to get them excited about wearing a tux!

The fathers will be wearing normal black ties.

Our tuxedos are coming from Folchi's!

Ringbearer

Picture
Brian's nephew Connor will be our ring bearer. He will look so cute in this argyle sweater vest and tie!

I want to get the groomsmen argyle socks, and I saw these for Connor and
had to get them so he would be a part of the group!

Bride

Here are some hair pictures that I like! It seems everyone likes the same styles!

I absolutely love the hair on the bride below. Beautiful, and casual. I have a similar hair style, and have tossed around the idea of wearing my hair down like this.

Here is the jewelery I will be wearing. The ear rings and bracelet were purchased at Macy's. Pardon my clothes! I was waiting for a friend to get there, and we were going to go to the pool. :)

I am having a hard time deciding on what necklace to wear, if any.

Mom wore this necklace in her wedding, and it would be great to wear it, for sentimental reasons.

This is the handbag my mom used on her wedding day. It's perfect, and I love that I get to use it!
Picture
Brian gave me the shorter necklace, with the spaced pearls for my birthday last year. Again, great sentimental value.
Picture
My mom also recently bought me this strand of real pearls. So that gives me another option.

Here is my veil. It is a cathedral length. We purchased a plain veil, and my mother added beading around the edge. She did number combination of beads in a way that is meaningful, such as 12 plain beads, one crystal, 19 plain beads, one crystal, which represents our wedding date 12/19.  I love it!

I also am making a birdcage veil! I love them, but there is no way I am not giving my cathedral length veil its time to shine! I have my netting, but have not gotten around to making it yet!

I finally finished my birdcage veil! It was fairly easy once I put my mind into making it! I will wear this after the ceremony and during the reception.

And what you are all waiting for: The dress! I found my dress in March of 08, and it was in my closet by the end of April 08. Oh well. It is not what I thought I was going to end up with, but I love it, and can't wait to see what it looks like once it is altered!

Unlike most other brides, I have no idea who the designer is. It was purchased from Cincinnati Bride, in the Reading Bridal District.

BRIAN: If you have found this site, and want to be kept from seeing the dress then STOP! Please don't go any further!
